Archangel Zadkiel

Angel of Freedom, benevolence and mercy and the Patron Angel of all who forgive, Zadkiel is believed by some to be Chief of the Order of Dominations. He belongs to the ranks of the dominions and is the patron angel of all who forgive.

It is he who holds back the hand of Abraham to prevent the patriarch from sacrificing his son, and because of this is usually shown holding a dagger. Also, Zadkiel is one of two standard bearers (along with Zophiel) who follow directly behind Michael as the head archangel enters battle.

Zadkiel brings the flame of freedom, forgiveness, justice, alchemy, transmutation and liberation of the soul. He is considered to be an angel of mercy.

Using the Violet Flame can erase past memories, bring forgiveness and increase the spirit of joy within us. He’s a healing angel who works next to Michael to replace negative energies with fairness & compassion.

Zadkiel will help when you’re having a problem with forgiving yourself or others. You’re not sanctioning someone’s abusive behavior; it means you will not carry around the emotional residue of old situations
